Auction Terms for the "Bons-Holsteins Homebred Sale"
- The auction will take place live at Bons-Holsteins in Ottoland on the evening of Saturday, March 15th.
- In addition to live bidding, there is also the option to bid online.
- Online bidding starts on Wednesday, March 12th. You can earn a discount, check the ‘discount’ page for more information.
- If you want to place a bid online, you can do so via FarmersBid.com.
- The final sale will be concluded at the live auction starting Saturday, March 15th, 2025, around 20:00 (Dutch time).
- Once you purchase an auction lot, you will receive an invoice from Bons-Holsteins. Payment should be made to Bons-Holsteins as stated on the invoice. Auction lots will not be released to the buyer until payment has been received.
- Bons-Holsteins is certified free for: IBR, BVD, Para Status A, and Lepto.
- Salmonella has been tested on tank milk and is free for over 9 years.
- The animals can be viewed on the afternoon of Saturday, March 15th, or by appointment: +31 (0)6-30141782.
- The buyer is responsible for arranging transport of the purchased auction lots.
- Foreign buyers who wish to import their animals must notify Bons-Holsteins after the auction. Costs and risks for preparing, stabling, transport, and export, etc., are the buyer’s responsibility.
- Lactating animals cannot be exported due to current quarantine regulations, so these animals should remain in the Netherlands. This concerns lot numbers 3, 6, 10 and 14.
- The bid on live animals must be at least €200 higher.
- The bid on embryo packages must be at least €50 higher.
- Prices are exclusive of 21% VAT, with export outside the Netherlands being VAT exempt.
- A 10% auction fee excluding VAT will be charged on the purchase amount.
